About us

Ember Estates wines are carefully crafted using only estate-grown grapes that are sustainably grown and harvested by hand here on our small family-owned vineyard east of the Rocky Mountain Front Range.

The dream for Ember Estates was born in 2013 when owners Nathan & Lindsey honeymooned in Napa Valley. They owned a small plot of land near Eaton, Colorado, overlooking a small lake with the majestic Rockies in the distance, and began to envision a vineyard of their own there.  After extensive research and exploration, Nathan discovered a grape hybrid that could thrive in the unpredictable climate of the region. By 2018, their dream became a reality as they harvested their first crop of Marquette grapes from the 300 vines they planted in what is now Ember Estate’s North Vineyard.

Since then, Ember Estates has grown to over 2550 grapevines on more than three acres. In addition to Marquette grapes, the South Vineyard is home to a white grape variety called La Crescent, and another red, Corot Noir.

The 2018 harvest produced 100 bottles of Marquette wine, a pleasing dry red with notes of black cherry and plum. Check back for details on our second bottling, coming in 2022!
